Personality Types and Why They Matter
Show Notes

How familiar are you with your employees? Sure, you know their name and role within your clinic, but do you really know them? This episode of the Veterinary Survival Show takes on a long-awaited topic: personality types.

Jenni takes the reins as she and Mark discuss personality types and why they matter. Our co-hosts have each taken the Meyers-Briggs-based test on 16personalities.com, and are eager to share their results (yes, even Mark who had his reservations about this topic!). Beyond traditional testing, how else can we classify employees, clients, and even ourselves? Jenni gives examples of various experiences she's had within her clinic and personal life, and how she's benefitted from a deeper understanding of the people around her.

What is the Meyers-Briggs test? This personality test was developed in the early 1900's, and determines if individuals lean more towards...
... Introverted (I) or Extraverted (E)
... Observing (S) or Intuitive (N)
... Thinking (T) or Feeling (F)
... Judging (J) or Perceiving (P)
Each of the 16 total outcomes has its own unique personality, with its own strengths and weaknesses.

If you're asking, "but does it all matter!?" Listen and find out! Don't forget to take the test to find out your personality type!
